Joining MTBA

About MTBA

Welcome to Mountain Bike Australia (MTBA) Inc. MTBA is the new body for mountain biking throughout Australia, which is run by mountain bikers for mountain bikers. MTBA, as the nation's largest mountain biking association, serves as the national governing body for mountain biking throughout Australia. MTBA is an affiliated association with Cycling Australia defined, broadly, by a Schedule of Association.

MTBA is committed to the administration, promotion and development of mountain biking throughout Australia.

Since the birth of this sport in America, it has grown to have international stature. This is most clearly demonstrated by the inclusion of the Cross Country Mountain Bike discipline into the 1996 Olympic Games.

MTBA's Mission

MTBA has adopted the following statement as its mission and goal:

To develop and promote mountain biking in Australia for the benefit and enjoyment of all members

MTBA Membership On-line

For NEW MEMBERS ONLY.
Interested in joining one of the many MTBA affiliated clubs around Australia?  If so and you are brand new to MTBA click in the map of Australia (on the home page) and then in your State or Territory to find a club near you. Join the club of your choice, fill out all your contact details and click continue. An email will be sent to you with a temporary password. Use the links contained in this email to set up your personal password. Once your password has been set up you can then 'upgrade' (click through to My Membership) your membership to a full MTBA membership by paying the MTBA and Club fees.

For EXISTING MTBA MEMBERS.
If you are an existing MTBA member or have ever been a member of MTBA then click here.

Use option 1 if you already have a password obtained through this on-line system. Simply enter your MTBA member number and your personal password.

Use option 2 (Existing MTB member) if you need to get a password.  Simply enter your MTBA member number, Surname and Date of Birth and if these match our records an email will be sent to you via the email address we also have on record with a temporary password. Use the links contained in this email to set up your personal password.

If you do not receive an email this probably means that the email address we have recorded for you is no longer valid. Please email the MTBA office to seek assistance. If we do not have an email address recorded for you then the system will let you know and you should email the MTBA office to seek assistance.

Once you have your personal password you can maintain your personal details and enter listed events by just giving your MTBA member number.
